The things you learn...
For nearly 27 years I have always peeled a banana starting from the stalky bit on the top. This often leads to mushing the first inch of the banana which I had regarded as an occupational hazard, one of the sadder things of life - or so I thought!!!
Following the example of a particular German Intern I discovered the ease and joy of peeling a banana from the other end!! Amazing! Dom - my potassium level thanks you!

And, I've heard that doing it that way, you don't get the string thingies! Is that true???
Now you mention it there were no stringy bits in that one! Why haven't I been doing this my whole life!
